Each sign permit has a minimum fee of $61, which include the standard Zoning Fee, the Technology Fee which is $10.00 and 2% for the State Levy.
In addition to the main sign for the address, the basic fee includes all signs with a total square face area of ten (10) square feet or less for each sign (includes entrance, exit, and directional signs).
For erection and/or relocation of signs, fee is determined by base fee plus area fee. Area fee shall be determined by total square foot area of all sign faces of each sign.
0 to 24 square feet $6
25 to 49 square feet $8
50 to 74 square feet $10
75 to 99 square feet $12
100 to 299 square feet $25
Over 300 square feet $30
Replacing, altering existing sign faces for each sign $50

You may print off the permit application and submit it into the Development Services Center Office located on the 3rd floor of City Hall in downtown Hampton. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
