Pet-Friendly Information

Some of the rules and regulations regarding animals and transportation in Hampton:

Taxis

  • Airport Taxi: Animal must be in a cage. You must call ahead.
  • Associated Cab: It depends on the size of the animal. You must call ahead. Animals sitting in the front costs $5 extra.
  • Hampton Roads Transit: Only service animals allowed. All other animals must be in a cage.
  • North End Cab: This is decided by driver. You must call ahead.
  • Yellow Cab: Animals are allowed. Whether the animal must be caged depends on the driver.

Marinas

  • Bell Isle Marina: Pets allowed.
  • Blue Water Marina: Pets allowed.
  • Customs House Marina: You must keep your pet on a leash.
  • Downtown Hampton Public Piers: Pets allowed.
  • Old Point Comfort Marina: You must keep your pet on a leash. The owner must clean up after pet.
  • Salt Ponds Marina Resort: You must keep your pet on a leash. The owner must clean up after pet.
  • Southall Landings Marina: You must keep your pet on a leash.
  • Sunset Boating Center: Pets allowed.
  • Wallace's Marina: Pets allowed.

Charter Services

  • Hampton River Bait and Tackle: Pets allowed.
  • Matty J. Fly and Light Tackle Charter: Pets allowed.
  • Miss Hampton II Harbor Tours: Small animals with a leash can be on the upper deck or bow of ship.
  • Ocean Eagle / Hampton Roads Charter: No pets allowed.
  • ShortWave Charters: Pets allowed.
  • Wild Blue Charter Services: Pets allowed.
