Engineering Services
The Engineering Services Division is responsible for managing the City’s capital improvement projects, including the planning, design, and construction management or public buildings, streets, utilities, stormwater facilities, and recreational facilities. Engineering Services also provides general engineering support, including construction cost estimates, construction management services, field surveying, mapping, drafting, and general consultation.

Facilities Management
Facilities Management is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing all public buildings and parking structures for the City of Hampton. Facilities Management installs new equipment, repairs existing equipment, renovates office spaces, and provides daily maintenance.

Stormwater
The Stormwater Division has three major parts consisting of Stormwater Engineering, Operations, and Environmental. The Stormwater Division keeps all stormwater systems free of obstructions and debris to maintain stormwater flow throughout the city; provides integrated pest management; and performs stormwater quality monitoring.

Street and Bridge Operations
The Street and Bridge Operations Division handles the maintenance and repair of all City-owned streets and bridges, including street resurfacing and repaving, street sweeping, snow removal, bridges and overpasses, curbs and gutters, potholes and cracked pavement, and more.

Traffic Engineering and Operations
The Traffic Engineering and Operations Division is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic control devices throughout the city including signs, traffic signal lights, and pavement marking.

Wastewater Operations
The Wastewater Operations Division maintains more than 100 pump stations and collection points, assists with stoppages, overflows, and cave-ins, and complete sewer mapping for the sewer lines in the city.

Fleet Services
Fleet Services is an “internal-service” department whose mission is to provide professional, efficient, and cost-effective fleet management services and solutions to City departments and agencies by ensuring that City vehicles, equipment, and fueling facilities are dependable, reliable, and safe.
