Community Criminal Justice Board

The Hampton-Newport News Community Criminal Justice Board is the adviser for local pretrial services and community-based probation programs. The board also evaluates and monitors community programs, services and facilities.

Members

State law says each board has to include general district court, circuit court, and juvenile and domestic relations court judges. The board also includes local police chiefs, attorneys for the commonwealth, a public defender and regional jail administrators. Each city appoints one citizen at large. Apply online.

Meetings are held quarterly.
