City Council

Hampton City Council has seven members, including an elected mayor and a vice mayor who is selected from among the other six council members every two years, when elections are held. In addition to making city policy, the City Council appoints the city manager, who is the chief administrator and executive officer of the city; the clerk of council; and the city attorney.
