Infant Toddler Connection

The Infant & Toddler Connection of Hampton/Newport News provides early intervention services through Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Services address the developmental needs of each eligible child from birth to age three and the needs of the family related to enhancing the child's development.

Service coordination ensures provision of early intervention supports and services focusing on increasing the child's participation in family and community activities that are important to the family. In addition, parents and other caregivers learn how to find ways to help the child learn during everyday activities.

The Infant & Toddler Connection provides families with the information and support needed to access early intervention services and to make decisions for their child and family about how early intervention service providers will be involved in their family's life.
