Roles & Responsibilities

Works to reduce the rates of property deterioration in Hampton and works to eliminate blighted property and improve the condition of Hampton's housing stock through proactive enforcement of national property maintenance standards. Contributes to increasing the appearance of the city by combating care of premise issues, such as weeds and debris, inoperative vehicles and graffiti. Responds to complaints from citizens related to the above codes and standards in order to gain compliance. Provides staff support to the City's Safe and Clean Initiative.
