Fox Hill Neighborhood Center

fox hill photoThe former Cornerstone Church at 65 Hall Road was purchased by the city and will become the new Fox Hill Neighborhood Center, replacing a recreation center in Grundland Creek Park that was destroyed by a tornado in 2014. Neighborhood centers are smaller than community centers and typically serve a smaller geographic area. In addition, the surrounding community and community groups are more involved in neighborhood center governance, programming and activities.

When will it open?

Renovations are needed first. Meetings are being held to refine the priorities of the neighborhood. Renovations will begin after those priorities are clear.

How was this site picked?

A community engagement process, including public meetings, was used to select a new site. The prevalence of wetlands in the Fox Hill area complicated the search, and land use analyses of several sites were conducted to determine the suitability for a new neighborhood center.
