Sheriff's Office
The Sheriff's Office consists of deputies and civilian personnel in three major divisions: Administration, Court Services, and Corrections. We maintain the custody, care, control and movement of inmates; serve civil and criminal processes and court orders; maintain security for court facilities, judges, jurors and other trial participants.

Sheriff Salvation Army Angel Tree 2022
The Hampton Sheriff’s Office continues its proud partnership with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program for the 8th consecutive year. Children on the peninsula received donations that far exceeded the two item gift request as a competition between departments to give more than what is required. Pictured: Lt. A. Ponds and Lt. B. Sheriff Deputy Retreat 2022
Sheriff Karen Bowden continued the offsite training to 40 Hampton Deputies at the 2nd Annual Deputy Retreat. Cheryl Williams was the guest speaker and spoke to the deputies about self-motivation during their shift.
