Hopeful Hampton Ambassadors

hhap-2The Hopeful Hampton Ambassador (HHA) program is a 12-week initiative empowering local youth 16-19 to earn money, set goals, and create events and activities bringing awareness to the impacts of youth violence. Through HHA, your voice, and engagement will help local youth and young adults emerge against violence and life challenges.

The program will convene two days a week March 6 through June 8 from 5 to 8:15 p.m. at the Mary W. Jackson Neighborhood Center. 

Program participants will spend significant time in mindfulness activities, light physical conditioning, event planning, and group discussions.  Participants will receive meals; transportation passes, recreational access, and a weekly stipend of $100 for successful participation and completion of the program

To apply you must be a Hampton student between the age of 16 to 19.

Application deadline was Monday, Feb. 20, at 11:59 pm. Please submit a completed application and photo release form to Latiesha D. Handie at latiesha.handie@hampton.gov
