Virginia Rules

Virginia Rules Program

Virginia Rules is a youth oriented, law-based crime prevention program designed to provide students with some working knowledge of the law, thus encouraging them to make responsible decisions about their behavior. The program discourages juvenile criminal activity by educating youth in a non-confrontational manner about actions that they may not realize are illegal.

Virginia Rules Program Mission:

Assist Virginia's youth in developing a working knowledge of the select criminal laws that most directly affect them.
Encourage personal responsibility and values.
Prevent and reduce youth crime in our communities.
Develop and continue building police/youth relationships through prevention.
Build and strengthen community policing efforts.
