The Hampton Clean City Commission (HCCC) is a volunteer citizens organization endorsed by Hampton City Council in 1978 to address Hampton's litter problem. The commission is a certified Keep America Beautiful Clean Community Organization. Since 1978, commission volunteers have donated countless hours and invaluable expertise and enthusiasm in addressing the environmental quality of our city.
HCCC is a grant-funded, nonprofit agency within the City of Hampton that employs a full-time executive coordinator and two staff members. The Full Commission, the governing body of the commission, is composed of nine Hampton citizens appointed by City Council for four-year terms, committee chairs, ex officio members, advisors, and staff members. The Full Commission meets monthly, usually on the second Tuesday of each month. The Full Commission, committee members, cleanup and beautification project volunteers, sponsors, and others who help HCCC meet its mission are all valued members of the group.
