Rain Barrel Workshops

Why Rain Barrels?

Rain barrels are important because they because they capture rain water to reduce the load on our storm drains and you then can use that water to care for your landscape.

Did you know that 1 inch of rain falling on a single story house that is 2,000 square feet in size would result in 1,200 gallons of water flowing off the house? Think how nice it would be to save some of that water for landscape use during the summer or other dry seasons!

The Hampton Clean City Commission offers rain barrel classes, usually in the spring, to help Hampton residents and workplaces save money, save water, and keep our waterways cleaner.
