Notice of City Council special joint session March 16, 2023, with Planning Commission
Notice is hereby given that a special joint meeting of the Hampton City Council and the Hampton Planning Commission will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at the Northampton Community Center, 1435 Todds Lane, in Hampton, Virginia. The purpose of the special joint meeting is for members of city staff to brief members of the City Council and the Planning Commission regarding potential regulatory approaches for “short-term rentals.”

The City Council will discuss relocating a cannon that is adjacent to the Hampton Yacht Club; the proposal to adopt an Allocation Plan for $1,954,965 in HOME-ARP funding and to amend the FY2020-2024 Consolidated Plan; and a use permit application by Eddie Bowen Incorporated T/A Pay Here Used Cars to permit a storage facility 3 at 1721 and 1723 West Pembroke Ave.; and a use permit application by Crown Castle USA Inc. to increase the permitted overall height of a commercial communication tower by 6 feet at 534 E Mercury Blvd.
