[ARCHIVED] Health heart lunch, Heart Walk kickoff, Mayor's Cup Blood Drive

Dear Employees,

This week we have two opportunities to give back to the community. We hope you’ll consider participating and help these great causes!

Cardiovascular health lunch talk and Heart Walk kickoff

Wednesday, June 10, noon-1 p.m., Community Development conference room. Learn about heart health and risk factors for cardiovascular disease from guest speaker Dr. Allan Murphy. Attendees will also be able to find out more about building a team for the American Heart Association Heart Walk taking place in October. Information.

Mayor’s Cup Blood Drive

Thursday, June 11, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., City Hall lobby. This is the first of three locations that will be offered for employees to conveniently give blood and help save lives in our community. Sign up for an appointment at redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code HamptonCity. We are the second city to complete their Mayor’s Cup drive so let’s set the bar for the rest of Hampton Roads! There are also some great door prizes for participants. Information.
