[ARCHIVED] Events canceled because of storm, Hurricane Joaquin

Oct. 1, 2015 - Because of the weather, some events scheduled for this week are being canceled or postponed They include:

-The Crawlin' Crab Half Marathon and 5K, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All events have been canceled. There is currently no new date scheduled.
-The Five-Alarm Festival & Chili Cook-Off, scheduled for Saturday in Carousel Park, has been canceled. There is no new date. Call 757-727-1212 for more information. -The Hampton Triad Fish Fry, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, has been rescheduled to Thursday, Oct. 8. It will be held from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Hampton Senior Center, 3501Kecoughtan Road. It only cost $6 to eat in or carry out.
-A celebration of the Old Hampton Community Center that was set for Saturday afternoon. No new date has been set.-The Hampton Carousel is closed through Sunday due to flooding around the carousel.
-Hampton City Schools and Hampton courts closed early Friday.-Day of Destruction at Langley Speedway postponed to Oct. 24.
-The Second City performance at The American Theatre postponed; no new date yet.-Chesapeake Bay Reggae Fest.
