July 27, 2016 - Work continues on a new Public Works drainage project in the Merrimac Shores neighborhood. The project is designed to divert stormwater under the roadway instead of across it, helping to reduce flooding that frequently blocks Catesby Jones Drive and Congress Avenue. Work also includes the outfall on the opposite side of the marina on Ericcson Drive as well as along Chesapeake Avenue. The contractor, Adira Construction, is expected to complete the project by the end of August, weather permitting.
