[ARCHIVED] Holly Days: Operation North Pole, a fun way to celebrate the holidays in Hampton

OPNP

Dec. 5, 2016 -  Let the joy of the holiday season take over at Holly Days: Operation North Pole. Enjoy the "North Pole" at this brand new winter event to be held Thursday, Dec. 8 through Saturday, Dec. 10 at Carousel Park.

Visitors will enjoy free carousel rides, make and take crafts at the interactive elf workshop, and take family photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Other attractions include carolers, and onsite food vendors.

Then on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7:15 p.m. in downtown Hampton, celebrate the holiday season and 100th Anniversary of Langley Air Force Base at the Peninsula’s largest illuminated holiday parade. The parade features more than 70 units, including beautifully decorated floats, marching bands, beauty queens, military honor units, and everyone's favorite holiday guest, Santa Claus!

Operation North Pole hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 and Friday, Dec. 9, then from 4-9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. To learn more, visit the Hampton Holly Days webpage
