Jan. 3, 2017 - Starting Monday, Jan. 9, there will be some security changes at City Hall. The security guard desk in front of the elevators will be updated and moved outside of new interior doors on the south side of the building (on Lincoln St.). That entrance will be the main entry point for visitors, deliveries and city employees who don't have electronic access to City Hall using a badge or FOB.
The doors on the north side of the building will be used by employees who have City Hall FOB or badge access. Both doors can be used to leave the building. The changes also call for a security guard to be on duty from 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended evening hours when City Council meets. Public Works Director Lynn Allsbrook said staff will continue to evaluate security needs at City Hall.
Employees who are in need of updating their badges to gain electronic access through the doors should go to Human Resources on the fourth floor on Tuesdays between 2-4 p.m. and Fridays between 10 a.m.-noon.
