Dec. 19, 2016 - Starting Monday, Jan. 9, there will be some security changes at City Hall. The security guard desk that's in front of the elevators will be updated and moved outside of new interior doors on the south side of the building (on Lincoln St.) That entrance will be the main entry point for visitors, deliveries and city employees who don't have electronic access to City Hall using a card or fob. The doors on the north side of the building will be used by employees who have electronic access. Both doors can be used to leave the building. The changes also call for a security guard to be on duty from 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended evening hours when City Council meets. Public Works Director Lynn Allsbrook said staff will continue to evaluate security needs at City Hall.
