[ARCHIVED] Plan now to attend Hampton's free Community Job Fair on Feb. 2

Jan. 13, 2017 - Job hunters can meet face to face with representatives from more than 50 companies during the free Community Job Fair on Thursday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, 1610 Coliseum Drive. Active duty service members, reservists and veterans are encouraged to attend.

From 8:30-10 a.m. you can get a head start on finding a new job by attending an employment workshop. At 8:30 a.m. you can learn how to work a job fair. At 9 a.m. get tips on the best interview techniques. And at 10 a.m. learn some key social media strategies for job hunters. Dress to impress and bring copies of your resume. Register online.

Employers who are currently hiring can also register online to be a part of the job fair, at no cost to you or your company.

The Job Fair is sponsored by Hampton’s Department of Economic Development, the Peninsula Council for Workforce Development, Peninsula Worklink, and the Virginia Employment Commission. For more information, contact the Department of Economic Development at 757-727-6237.
