[ARCHIVED] Healthy Families sponsors free literacy summit on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Jan. 16, 2016 - The 2nd Annual Learning Summit for Hampton Reads Early Literacy  - "Building a Foundation for Student Success" - will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Healthy Families Partnership building, 100 Old Hampton Lane. Family service providers, childcare providers and early childhood educators are invited to a free day of education and encouragement. 

Participants will hear about key components in Hampton City Schools that support literacy for kindergarten. They'll also learn how to reinforce select skills that support early literacy. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
