[ARCHIVED] Programs sponsor 'veteranship to entrepreneurship' business forum

Feb. 6, 2017 - The Hampton University Business Incubator and Virginia Values Veterans Programs are sponsoring a "Veteranship to Entrepreneurship Business Forum"  Thursday, Feb. 9, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Business Incubator, 6 West County St., Hampton. 

The forum is designed for veterans with dreams of taking charge of their future, those transitioning to civilian life and those who have aspirations of owning their own business. Panelists will include Don Miller, assistant director and senior business counselor of the Veterans Business Outreach Center at Old Dominion University, and Daniel Markes, veteran and managing partner of the Markesman Group.

 Discussions will include preparing yourself for entrepreneurship, writing an effective business plan, and effective networking. The forum is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, and RSVP is required.
