Hampton History Museum-A Little Litter

April 21, 2017 - The next time you’re out in the rain in Hampton or surrounding communities, keep an eye open for a motivational campaign of good-to-know “green” messages from Public Works and Ask HRGreen.

Created with stencils and an environmentally safe spray, messages such as “Only Rain Down the Storm Drain,” “No Such Thing as a Little Litter” and “No Wipes in Our Pipes” become visible when wet. The goal of the campaign is to inspire people to think about the environment in new ways..

Hampton locations include the History Museum; Peninsula Town Center near the Barnes & Noble and splash fountain; the Settlers Landing parking garage and the West Hampton Community Center.

You can also look for the messages in Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, James City County,Newport News, Portsmouth, Smithfield, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, York County and elsewhere. More information.
