[ARCHIVED] Watersport rentals and concession stands to open at three locations this month

May 9, 2017 – Residents and visitors can enjoy Hampton’s waterways even more later this month at three locations. Hampton Watersports, owned by Jeremy Churchill and Mike Walsh, have similar rentals in Virginia Beach and have expanded to Hampton.

At Buckroe Beach, watersport rentals will open Saturday, May 20. Rental equipment includes jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards and fishing kayaks. Jet ski rentals are $89 per hour and all other rentals range from $15 to $35 per hour. Jet ski and boat rentals include a 20-minute safety course.
Mill Point Park will offer pedal boats, kayaks, paddle board rentals starting May 20. Fees range from $15 to $30 per hour. All equipment renters are required to have a valid state issued or government ID.
Starting Memorial Day weekend at Bluebird Gap Farm, people will be able to rent pedal boats and kayaks. Fees range from $10 to $25 per hour. Construction of the dock is still under way.

Rentals will be available weekends only May 20-21, then open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day, with some weekend hours in September.

Concession stands will also open at Buckroe Beach and Mill Point Park. Stands will be open from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

At Bluebird Gap Farm, a concession stand is now open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Guests can purchase snacks, refreshments and ice cream at all concession stand locations.
