[ARCHIVED] Touch a Truck event gave kids a chance to sit in drivers' seat of big rigs

May 12, 2017 - Employees from the Division of Public Works recently took part in the Touch A Truck event at Peninsula Town Center. It gave children a hands-on opportunity to explore heavy machinery and to meet the people who build, protect and serve the Hampton Roads community. Vehicles on display included construction trucks, emergency responders, tractor trailers, utility trucks and helicopters. The event also featured area mascots, special performances, food and merchant vendors. Here are some photos:
