[ARCHIVED] Volunteers sought to help community learn about resources available after homicide

Sept. 11, 2017 - Hampton Police are looking for volunteers to join RESET, a program designed to inform residents about the help and resources available to community members following a homicide. 

Volunteers for RESET, or Rapid Engagement of Support in the Event of Trauma, will be trained by Hampton Police, the Victim Services Unit and the Youth Violence Prevention Office. 

The first training session will be Monday, Oct. 2, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Y.H. Thomas Community Center. Training is mandatory and will be offered quarterly. To register, call 757-727-8311 by Wednesday, Sept. 27.
