[ARCHIVED] Operation Winter Break gives both kids, parents a break when school is out

Nov. 30, 2017 - Operation Winter Break is a chance for kids to have fun in a supervised environment when schools are dismissed for winter break Dec. 21-29.

With programs for young people ages 6-15, and a therapeutic recreation program for those 5 1/2-22, Operation Winter Break gives children a chance to go swimming, rock climbing, take field trips (for an additional cost) and much, much, more.

There is an open recreation camp and camp for younger kids at Fort Monroe Community Center, Northampton Community Center and West Hampton Community Center; a teens camp at Y.H. Thomas Community Center, North Phoebus Community Center and the Little England Cultural Center; and a Therapeutic Recreation camp at the Therapeutic Recreation Center.
