[ARCHIVED] City offices will resume normal working hours Monday

snow-storm-nf

Jan. 7, 2018 – Hampton City Manager Mary Bunting said Sunday evening that with clear main/secondary roads and parking lots, there is no public safety reason for city offices to remain closed. Therefore, we will resume normal working hours tomorrow. However, liberal leave is in affect.

"...with clear main/secondary roads and parking lots, there is no public safety reason for city offices to remain closed. Therefore, we will resume normal working hours tomorrow. Understanding that many of you may nevertheless feel uncomfortable traversing residential roads and/or have childcare issues without schools continuing to be closed, I am authorizing liberal leave. As a reminder, liberal leave needs to be coordinated with your supervisor and/or department head.

In closing, I want to again applaud the effort of our full Public Works and Public Safety team. As the majority of the workforce has rested inside warm homes, each of you has worked tirelessly to make our city safer. You are truly unsung heroes for whom we are all grateful!" Bunting said.
