Jan. 18, 2018  - Hampton's Public Works crews continued to apply brine and salt to city roads Thursday in the wake of Wednesday's snowfall. While main roads are in relatively good shape, some side roads remain icy and residents are encouraged to drive carefully, especially when night comes and roads freeze again.

Trash trucks are out today picking up the last of Monday's routes (because of MLK Day Monday, those routes were not picked up until Wednesday). Public Works hopes to start next on collecting Thursday and Friday routes. Crews will be working as needed into the weekend.

Because of the snow and icy conditions, all city parks will remain closed Thursday. City offices opened at 11 a.m. Thursday.
