[ARCHIVED] The Deadline for Enterprise Zone Grant Applications is Fast Approaching

The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is in the processing of receiving applications from private business owners operating within an Enterprise Zone designated boundary. Applications must be submitted to the DHCD on or before April 2, 2018.

These applications are for calendar year 2017, providing business owners the opportunity to receive cash grants. These grants are:

The Real Property Investment Grant (RPIG) - available to investors that have undertaken rehabilitation, expansion, or new construction projects and;
The Job Creation Grant (JCG) - available to businesses that have created high wage, full-time, permanent positions with health benefits that are net new jobs for Virginia.

Businesses must satisfy the DHCD’s minimum thresholds requirement to be considered. Hampton has two Enterprise Zone designations.

The application instruction manuals for the Job Creation and Real Property Investment Grants are available on the Department of Housing website and the EZ Application Submission System.
