[ARCHIVED] Community Center Spring Break camps offer fun for students, quality for parents

2018-sbc-nf

March 13, 2018 - Spring Break camps offers students an opportunity to participate in fun activities while schools are closed from April 2-6. And they offer working parents the comfort of knowing that fun is supervised.

Programs are available for youth ages 6 to 15. Families can choose between full-day camps, which run from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and cost $50 for the week, and half-day camps, which run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and cost $20. (Pricing is for members; non-members can pay a higher rate or purchase an annual youth membership for $15.) In both, participants can enjoy such activities as swimming, rock climbing, and arts and crafts, and optional field trips.

Hampton also offers a Therapeutic Recreation camp for students with special needs. This year, a DJ Academy is also offered to teach sound mixing, DJ'ing, editing, and other music production essentials to students aged 8 to 18.

For more information about the camps, held at community and neighborhood centers, and registration, go to www.hampton.gov/camps.
