[ARCHIVED] City manager says changes being made in parking at Ruppert Sargent Building

April 1, 2018 - City Manager Mary Bunting said Monday: "Changes are being made to the parking arrangements at the Ruppert Sargent Building this week. We have consistently had an issue with employee and city vehicles parking for extended periods in the customer parking lot and in spaces around the building intended for customers. Despite requests for employees to not use this parking which is marked for one hour customer use, the behavior has persisted. In addition to the lack of parking, there is also  a challenge of having customers walk past the service entrance and the dumpster, making it difficult for them to find the public entrance. Accordingly, we are changing the parking arrangement to move the customer parking from the lot where it has been to the city lot at the corner of Queen and Franklin.
