April 3, 2018 - Trained master gardener volunteers will perform lawn assessments for Hampton homeowners as part of the Virginia Cooperative Extension program. Volunteers will do all sampling and provide homeowners with a personalized report that offers recommendations on: lime and fertilizer applications, aeration and soil compaction, proper mowing height, and pest management, if applicable.  The program cost $30.00 and includes one soil sample; additional soil samples are $10.00.  Home visits can be scheduled for Wednesdays in April and May. For more information, email Gaylynn Johnson, gaylynnj@vt.edu or call the VCE Hampton office at 757-727-1401.
