[ARCHIVED] Public invited to dinner that celebrates 'Breaking Bread while Building Bridges'

May 2, 2018 - The public is invited to the annual Iftar Dinner Program on Thursday, May 31, at 7 p.m. at the Northampton Community Center, 1435-A Todds Lane. Sponsored by the Rumi Friendship Association and Hampton's Citizens Unity Commission, the program's theme is "Breaking Bread while Building Bridges." Mayor Donnie Tuck will be the keynote speaker.

The free dinner is an annual gathering of Muslim and non-Muslim citizens to celebrate and learn more about Ramadan, the worldwide commemoration of  the first revelation of the Quran to the Muslim prophet Muhammad.
