[ARCHIVED] IT will begin sending computer users a reminder about expiring passwords

May 11, 2018 - Starting today, Hampton's Information Technology Department will begin sending an email notice to city computer users whose network password is about to expire.

The notice will not ask users to click on any link, or include any attachment – similar to many phishing emails we get. Instead, the goal is just to remind network computer users that their password is about to expire so they can change it before network access is disrupted.
