June 20, 2018 - Hampton’s Performing & Creative Arts Center for young people, located at 300 Butler Farm Road, will officially close to the public on Monday, June 25.  Many of the current programs will be transferred to the Hampton Arts Commission, a public/private partnership that supports artistic and cultural programs in the city.

The Hampton Aquatics Center, which is also located at 300 Butler Farm Road, will remain open to the public for classes, programs and other events. Beginning Monday, July 2, however, citizens will enter the Aquatics Center through the side entrance.

Arts Center staff will remain on site until Saturday, June 30, and the Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services Department may continue some arts-related activities in other locations.

Later this summer, Hampton police will begin using the former Arts Center as a police training facility.
