[ARCHIVED] Hampton's Healthy Start graduates, city staff celebrate achievement

Aug. 10, 2018 — The 2018 Healthy Start graduates, pictured, celebrated with their family and the staff Thursday, Aug. 9, at the program graduation.

Attending the graduation were, from left, Healthy Families administrator Chenequa Hayden; Ann Cherry, chairwoman of Hampton City School Board; Councilwoman Chris Snead; Mayor Donnie Tuck; Healthy Start Manager Angie Russ; and Director of Human Services Wanda Rogers.

The Healthy Start program aids parental care giving, developmental stimulation and parent-child interactions by providing role modeling and teaching parent education skills.

Healthy Start graduatesHampton Healthy Families mission is to ensure all children are born healthy, enter kindergarten prepared to succeed, achieve academic success while engaged in the community, and graduate healthy and prepared for a lifetime of success.
