Groovin’ by the Bay Litter- Free Event Cleanups, May 26 – September 1, Sundays, 5pm – 8pm, Buckroe Beach Park, 100 S 1st St, Hampton. Need volunteers, one site coordinator and 3 - 4 volunteers for each Sunday evening throughout the summer. Contact Cynthia at cfharris@hampton.gov for more information. Sign up for all the evenings or just one or two!


WeLoveU Foundation North Phoebus Community Cleanup, May 26, 11am – 1pm, starting at North Phoebus Community Center, 249 W Chamberlin Ave. Contact Cynthia at cfharris@hampton.gov for more information.

World Environment Day, June 5, the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. Since it began in 1974, the event has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries. The theme for 2019 is air pollution.
