[ARCHIVED] Celebrity chef Guy Fieri will open two new restaurants at Hampton's Power Plant on June 27

June 13, 2019 - Hampton Mayor Donnie Tuck and members of City Council - along with the rest of Hampton Roads - are invited to the Power Plant in Hampton on June 27 when two new restaurants from celebrity chef Guy Fieri open for business.

A news release says Guy Fieri's Dive & Taco Joint promises "great food with an incredible bar scene and nightly entertainment," while Guy Fieri's Pizza - a first for the star of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, "will pull from Guy's strong Italian heritage and will offer a variety of artisanal pizzas created by Guy using house-made dough and sauce." A special event for invited guests will be held from 6-8 p.m., and the restaurants will open to the general public at 8 p.m.

Fieri, who won Food Network's competition show "Next Food Network Star" in 2006, has gone on to become an Emmy-nominated chief and a partner in some 70 restaurants worldwide.
