[ARCHIVED] Ribbon-cutting Tuesday will mark grand opening of new police training academy in Hampton

July 18, 2019 - The public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, for Hampton's new Police Training Academy.  Located in the former Teen Center at 300 Butler Farm Road, the academy will help modernize and enhance Hampton police training. It will include improved classrooms, use of force training simulator, indoor track, defensive tactics training room, conference rooms, auditorium,  and administrative offices. The new training center will also allow for more academy classes to be taught.  Mayor Donnie Tuck and Police Chief Terry Sult are expected to make brief remarks. For more information contact Cpl.
