Home Repair Blitz

Aug. 31, 2019 - The Housing and Neighborhood Services Division is looking for skilled team leaders to help with the upcoming Extreme Home Repair Blitz, a joint effort with Newport News that will include Wythe and surrounding areas on Saturday, Sept. 28.

All labor and materials will be provided by community sponsors and volunteers for free or a minimal fee.

Team leaders are men and women who are skilled in carpentry, general construction and home repair, willing to spend 5-6 hours preparing for the Blitz and a day on the Blitz itself.

The Home Repair Blitz takes place twice a year. It is sponsored by the city, Habitat for Humanity and the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority, with support from various community groups and organizations.
