Feb. 20, 2020 - Hampton will delay opening city offices until 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21. Hampton’s streets are largely clear of snow and ice as of 11 p.m., but there are some minor issues on overpasses and bridges, Public Works reported.

Temperatures are predicted to remain above freezing until about 6 a.m. early Friday morning, which could cause some ice for drive time. Residents are reminded to use caution and lower speeds when driving, especially on overpasses. Thin layers of ice, "black ice," may not be visible.

Hampton City Schools announced they would be closed on Friday. The city will allow liberal leave for employees.
