Aug. 26, 2020 - Because of recent rains and an increase in calls from residents, Hampton will conduct low-volume mosquito spraying (from trucks) this evening in these areas: Semple Farm Road/Saunders Road, Deerfield Boulevard, Butler Farm Road, Shell Road between Pembroke Avenue and Victoria Avenue, and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Also this evening the Air Force will conduct aerial spraying for mosquitoes over Langley Air Force Base, Craney Island and a small portion of Portsmouth. Although no insecticide applications is expected outside the target areas, the Air Force recommends that bee keepers adjacent to these areas cover their hives to help prevent any loss of bees.

Residents are encouraged to help eliminate area where mosquitoes can thrive by dumping any standing water around your home.
