Gov. Northam announced new measures Dec. 10 to help curb the spread of the coronavirus in Virginia. He asks Virginians to stay at home from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. each day, wear masks in indoor and outdoor settings when near other people, and to limit social gatherings to 10 people.

Hampton has had 3,553 total coronavirus cases since March and it's seven-day average of new daily cases is at 59. The city's highest daily count of new cases was 104 on Dec. 9.
