Jan 4, 2021 -Two Phoebus venues were listed as #1 and #3 in the Virginia Pilot’s list of the most anticipated Hampton Roads restaurants and breweries for 2021. Both are scheduled to open in January. The Bakers Wife: "Grey Goose owners Dana and Phillip Epstein plan a French-American bistro with fare ranging from “au gratin to french fries, from filet mignon to New York strip” — a casual and wine-friendly spot that will color mostly within the lines of French classics like coq au vin and coquille Saint-Jacques scallops.” 1865 Brewing: Owners Whitteney Guyton and William Comer hope to open the region’s first Black-owned brewery shortly — with beers from brewing veteran Randy Jones.” The list [pilotonline.com]is dominated by venues in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Hampton is the only other city to have more than one venue listed.
