[ARCHIVED] City contractor will start repaving in Ireland Street, Old Buckroe areas

April 21, 2021 - Beginning the week of May 3, a city contractor will start repaving in the Ireland Street, Langille Court, Old Buckroe Road areas, including:

  • Ireland Street from Woodland Rd to Shelton Road
  • Edson Terrace from cul-de-sac to Shelton Road 
  • Thom Hall Drive from cul-de-sac to Old Buckroe Road
  • Berkley Drive from Old Buckroe Road to Mallory Street
  • Anita Court from cul-de-sac to Institute Drive
  • Institute Drive from cul-de-sac to Old Buckroe Road
  • Langille Court from cul-de-sac to Old Buckroe Road
  • Georgeanna Court  from cul-de-sac to Lacrosse Street
  • Lacrosse Street from dead end to West Chamberlin Avenue
  • Douglass Street from Lacrosse Street to Old Buckroe Road
  • Blount Court from cul-de-sac to Scotland Road

The project will last approximately four weeks, barring delays, and should end the week of May 28. All work will take place between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Motorists are asked not to park in the roadway during work hours, to reduce their speed, and to follow traffic control measures. There may be some disruptions during the repaving, which will be monitored by Public Works' Streets and Bridges division.
