June 15, 2022 — During the next several months, appraisers from the Office of the Assessor of Real Estate will conduct comprehensive neighborhood field reviews throughout the city.

These reviews are in addition to reviews of specific property addresses with changes as a result of building permits and/or sales verifications. Commercial properties throughout the city will be visited and additional residential neighborhoods may be added as the project continues.

Assessments will be done Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Assessors will drive city vehicles, carry city ID and announce their arrival to property owners. Residents who want to confirm the assessors' identity can call 757-728-5182.

The Office of the Assessor of Real Estate provides access to individual property information and general information about real estate assessments at hampton.gov/assessor. If you suspect there is an error in individual property information, please call 311 or email assessorswebmail@hampton.gov
