[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Crawlin' Crab races canceled

Sept. 29 – The Crawlin' Crab 5K race on Saturday morning and half-marathon on Sunday morning will affect traffic and parking in Coliseum Central, Downtown Hampton and several other neighborhoods and districts.

 The closures on Saturday, accommodating the 5K and a youth race, will mostly be between 7 and 9:30 a.m.  and will be limited to the Coliseum Central district. In particular, Coliseum Boulevard will be closed to traffic from 5-10 a.m. between the entrance to the Hampton Roads Convention Center and the parking lot behind the Coliseum.

  The closures on Sunday, for the 13-mile half-marathon, will mostly start around 7 a.m. and last until late morning. In addition to Coliseum Central and Downtown Hampton, the closures will affect the Power Plant district, Olde Wythe, Little England, Merrimac Shores and other neighborhoods.
