[ARCHIVED] Closures and schedules for Thanksgiving holiday

Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 — Here’s a look at how these city offices, departments, or services will be affected by the Thanksgiving holiday.

City Offices Closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24-25

City schools Closed Wednesday through Friday

Garbage Collection No regular recycling, refuse, bulk trash or yard waste collection on Thursday or Friday. Thursday’s collection will be made Wednesday, Nov. 23. Friday’s collection will be made Monday, Nov. 28. Next Monday’s collection will be made Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Street Sweeping Thursday sweeping will take place Tuesday, Nov. 29

Yard Waste Site Closed Thursday and Friday

Landfill Closed Thursday

Libraries Close at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Closed Thursday and Friday

Community centers Closed Thursday and Friday, reopen on Saturday

Neighborhood Centers Closed Thursday and Friday, reopen on Saturday

Fort Monroe Pool Closed Thursday and Friday

Treasurer’s Office & Closed Thursday and Friday
Commissioner of
Revenue's Office

DMV Select Closed Thursday and Friday

Charles H. Taylor Closed Thursday and Friday
Visual Arts Center

Courts Closed at noon Wednesday. Closed all day Thursday and Friday

Human Services Closed Thursday and Friday

Peninsula Health Open Wednesday until noon; closed Thursday and Friday
District and clinics

Public golf courses Open Thursday until 1 p.m.; regular hours Friday

City Parks Closed Thursday; regular hours Friday

Bluebird Gap Farm Closed Thursday; regular hours Friday

Air Power Park Museum building closed Thursday and Friday; outdoor portion of the park temporarily closed for revitalization project but public has access to
Waterwalk Trail when parks are open.

Hampton History Closed Thursday, regular hours Friday; administrative office closed Thursday and Friday
